James E. Seifert, age 68, of S. TR 66, New Riegel, Ohio died at 11:44 A.M. Saturday, January 7, 2006 in Mercy Hospital ER, Tiffin. He was born on July 27, 1937 in Tiffin, Ohio to the late Paul and Laura (Gosche) Seifert. He was married on November 23, 1967 in St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Riegel to Mary Ann Clouse who survives.
Other survivors include, 2 sons, Jeffrey (Denise) Seifert of Fostoria; Michael (Stacey) Seifert of Bedford, Texas; 2 daughters, Laura (Scott) Gier of Upper Sandusky, Ohio and Krista Rioch of Findlay; 9 grandchildren, Samantha, Nicholas, Sara, Allie, Hannah, Andrew, Jenna, Brandon, and Olivia; 2 brothers, Philip Seifert, of Maumee; Donald Seifert of Tiffin; 3 sisters, Betty Poignon, of Tiffin, Rosemary Dariano of Tiffin, and Carolyn Fisher of Findlay.
He is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Bernard Seifert and Joseph Seifert.
Mr. Seifert was a 1955 Calvert High School Graduate. He had retired as a letter carrier from the United States Postal Service in Fostoria. He was a member of All Saints Parish, New Riegel, a member of the New Riegel Moose. He enjoyed boating and fishing and coffee hour every day with his friends. He was also an avid Ohio State and Notre Dame fan.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2006 from 5-8 PM at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. There will be a wake service at the funeral home Thursday at 8:00 P.M. The rosary will be recited at 9:45 A.M. Friday. The funeral Mass will be officiated by Rev. Ron Schock at 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 13, 2006 at All Saints Parish, New Reigel. Burial will take place in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery.
