James Anthony Nagle, 91, of Tiffin, and formerly of Canonsburg and Eighty Four, Pennsylvania, died at 6:04 p.m. August, 26, 2016, at his residence. He was born April 7, 1925, in Thomas, West Virginia to Leo and Anna Nagle. He married Mary Chatloss, and she died December 2007.
He is survived by a daughter, Cathy (Charles) Nagle-Ervin of Tiffin; a granddaughter, Cicely McWilliams; a brother, Jack Nagle of Houston, Texas; a niece, Linda (Jim) Culp; a nephew, Ronald Grubesky; a Grandniece, Kimberly (Brian) Eater; and a Great Grand Niece, Evelyn Eater all of Pittsburgh, PA.
He is preceded in death by his wife, a daughter, Caryn (Nagle) McWilliams, two sisters, Norma Grubesky and Helen Large; and a brother, Robert Nagle.
James was a 1943 graduate of South Park, Pennsylvania High School. He served from 1943 – 1946 in the United States Navy, Merchant Marines, and was a Seaman 1st Class. He retired from the United States Department of Energy as a laboratory technician.
The family would like to offer a thank you to Leanne Smith of St. Francis Health Ministries, Mercy Tiffin Hospital, Marcy Bishop and Sharon Pethe of the Marcy’s Caring Hands and Community Hospice Care.
There will be no visitation or funeral.
