Survivors include two sons, David (Susan) Michul of St. Helena, Calif., Thomas (Denise) Michul of Cool, Calif.; four daughters, Martha (Robert) Polinsky of Norwalk, Cynthia (Stan Lubash) Michul of Des Plaines, Ill., Christine Lavelle of Parma, Mary Bell of Tiffin;15 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
She is preceded by her parents, a daughter, Kathleen Bassett, two brothers, Frank and John Reinke, and a grandson, Michael Lavelle.
Irene was a graduate of West High School in Cleveland. She retired in 1972 as a registered nurse. She was the Director of Nursing at Oakridge Nursing Home, Westlake, Ohio. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin; the Altar Rosary Society, Daughters of Isabella, and she enjoyed antiques and playing cards.
Visitation for family and friends will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. A wake service will be at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the funeral home followed by the funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. Rev. Gary Walters will officiate. The rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will take place immediately following in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, Community Hospice Care or to a charity of the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
