Iona J. Lang, 75, of Tiffin, died at 7:30 pm Friday, May 11, 2018, at the Heritage Village of Clyde.
Iona was born March 14, 1943 in Toledo to Harry Arthur and Edith Marie (Jewell) Teal. As a young child, she was later adopted by Rollin H. and Martha B. (Stackhouse) Manthey. Iona married Robert Henry Lang August 27, 1977, in Fostoria, and he died in 2001.
Survivors include a son, Robert (Louisa) Lang of Texas; a daughter, Sandy (Keith) Lemons of Fostoria; grandchildren, Jessica Lang, Daniel Hurt, Rebecca Hurt, William Hurt, Sarah Lang and Blair Lang; and a brother, Louis (Annabelle) Manthey of Fostoria.
She was preceded in death by her parents, adopted parents, husband, and two step-daughters, Bonnie and Connie Lang.
Iona graduated from Fostoria High School and had a graphics arts degree from Terra Tech. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Iona was an avid reader and donated many books to the library. She loved to play bingo and loved animals.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-3113.
No burial will take place at this time for Iona has chosen to donate her body for scientific research.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library or the Humane Society Of Seneca County.
