Imogene L. Collet, 87, of Tiffin, died at 4:12 a.m. Friday, December 29, 2017, at Mercy Health-St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo. She was born April 10, 1930, in Tiffin to Frederick and Louise (Homan) Walliser. She married Henry W. Collet, October 6, 1956, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin and they were married for 61 years. Henry survives.
Other survivors include a son, Andrew Collet of Tiffin, three daughters, Nancy (Matt) McGowan of Chillicothe, Illinois, Jane (Steve) Dukes, of Henderson, Nevada, Julie (Eric) Leppert of Columbus; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Collet of San Antonio, Texas, three grandchildren, Shannon and Fiona McGowan, Collette Leppert; two step-grandchildren, Jonathan and Jennifer Dobbertin; and a twin brother, Eugene Walliser of Tiffin.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Gerald Collet, a brother, Fred Walliser, and two sisters, Lillian Yost and Donna Steinmetz.
Imogene attended Hopewell-Loudon High School. She was a homemaker, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Josephines.
Visitation with family and friends will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 1, 2018, at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. A wake service will be at 1:30 p.m.
Prayers will be said at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at the funeral home followed by the Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Joseph Szybka will officiate. Burial will take place immediately following in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass at the church.
