Hilda Margaret Steiner, age 79, of Homeview Ct, Tiffin, died at 6:45 am Wednesday, February 04, 2009 in Mercy Hospital Emergency Room, Tiffin.
She was born on December 24, 1929 in Bandon, Indiana to the late Henry and Louise (Thiery) Rogier. On May 12, 1949 in St. Mary Catholic Church, she married Richard C. Steiner. He died on March 12, 1993.
Survivors include a son, Rick (Norma) Steiner; two daughters, Nancy (Joseph) Elchert and Norma J. (Harold) Mizen all of Tiffin; six grandchildren, Randy Ballreich, Amanda Elchert, Joe Elchert, Jr., Brad (Laura) Elchert, Heather Steiner, Haley Steiner; one great grandson, Michael (Sweetie-Pie) Elchert; one brother, Earl Rogier of Tiffin; and four sisters, Helen Wynne of Cleveland, Betty Smith of Perrysburg, Evelyn Wagner and Norma Lee Kummerer both of Tiffin.
She is preceded in death by a sister, Naomi Wagner.
Hilda had retired from General Electric Company where she had worked as a welder and an inspector. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening and attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events.

The Funeral Mass will be officiated by Rev. Joseph Szybka at 10 am Saturday, in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will take place immediately following in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
