Herbert H. Berg, age 89, of Olmsted Falls, Ohio, died at 6:55 am Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at Elmwood at the Shawhan, Tiffin.
He was born September 18, 1918, in Cleveland, to the late Herman and Ella (Doering) Berg. On August 2, 1941, in Lakewood, Ohio, he married Dorothy Bode, who died March 24, 2000.
Survivors include three sons, H. Robert (Dorothy) Berg of Tiffin, Richard (Judy) Berg of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and David (Kathy) Berg of Creston, Ohio; five grandchildren, Rebecca (Dan) Williams, Brian (Kate) Berg, Erin (John) Fivecoat, Emily (Brian) Peresie, and Andrew (Emily) Berg; and two great grandchildren, Ava Fivecoat and Brayden Peresie; and one sister Beatrice Metz of Berea.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Edith Geib.
Mr. Berg was a retired tool and die sales representative and a member of Redeemer United Church of Christ, Westlake, Ohio. He was also a member of the American Society of Tool and Manufacturing Engineers.
Services will be 11am Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Church of the Redeemer United Church of Christ, Westlake. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted. There will be no visitation.
