Henry Lee "Whitey" Forstner, age 72, of Tiffin, Ohio, formerly of Harbor Beach, Michigan, died at 1:30 am, Sunday, May 29, 2005, at St. Francis Home, Tiffin.
He was born July 3, 1932, in Harbor Beach, Michigan, to the late Henry and Maxine (Smith) Forstner. He was the loving husband of Mary Ann (Folk) Forstner, whom he married July 16, 2004, in the First Lutheran Chapel, Tiffin. She survives in Tiffin.
Also surviving are a son, William (Shirley) Forstner of Harbor Beach; three daughters, Cheryl Leverette and Darlene Forstner, both of Flint, Michigan, and Jessica (Donavon) Sillings of Graceville, Florida; three step-sons, Monty and Ricky Folk, both of Tiffin, and Larry (Linda) Keckler of Tiffin; two step-daughters, Brenda Miller of Tiffin, and Julie (Kevin) Clark of Evanston, Wyoming; many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren also survive. Also surviving are two sisters, Betty Kretchman of Harbor Beach, and Edith (Alex) Miller of Aurora, Illinois. He was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Forstner, and a sister, Doris Warren.
Mr. Forstner retired in 1991, after 30 years working in the powerhouse at General Motors in Flint, Michigan. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He attended First Lutheran Church, Tiffin, and was a member of the Tiffin Moose Lodge.
Burial will be in Rock Falls Cemetery in Harbor Beach. Memorials may be made to Community Hospice Care of Tiffin.
