Helen L. Grummel, 90, formerly of 7 W. Market Street, Tiffin, died at 4:10 p.m., Thursday, October 16, 2003 at Friendship Village of Dublin, in Dublin, Ohio. She was born on August 1, 1913 to William T. and Delta L. (Eckert) Golling, in Forest, Ohio. On August 2, 1940 she married Ernest W. Grummel in Sycamore, Ohio. He died on November 19, 1977.
She is survived by one son, Jeffrey A. (Jane) Grummel, of Dublin, Ohio, two grandsons, Tyler and Spencer Grummel, and one brother, Jack W. Golling, of Montgomery, Alabama. She was preceded by one son, Randy Lynn Grummel, one daughter, Barbara Ann Grummel, one sister, Madge Coons, and one brother, Charles N. (Ned) Golling.
Mrs. Grummel was a Homemaker and had been a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Tiffin, the Order of the Eastern Star #189, and the Eagles Auxiliary #402.
There will be an Eastern Star Service at 6 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will take place immediately following the funeral service in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Sycamore, Ohio. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, or to Trinity United Church of Christ.
