Harold Vincent Gase

Harold Vincent Gase, 85 of Tiffin, died 8:48 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, 2021, at Mercy Health Tiffin Hospital Emergency Room.  He was born Feb. 2, 1936, in Berwick to Leo and Pearl (Youngpeter) Gase.  He married Bernice Marshall May 18, 1957, in Carey at Our Lady of Consolation and she survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Diane (Doug) Keegan of Bellevue, two grandchildren Travis (Kayla) Keegan and Tyler (Abbey) Keegan, and a great granddaughter, Kiersten Keegan.

He is preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Gase and a brother, Leo Gase.

Harold was a 1954 graduate of McCutchenville High School.  He served in the United States Army from 1954-1956, during the Korean War, and was stationed in Germany.  He retired in 1998 from Whirlpool Corporation in Clyde and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Tiffin Moose Lodge.

Visitation will be 8:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church followed by the funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating.  The Rosary will be recited 30 minutes prior to the Mass at the church.  Burial will take place immediately following in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with the Seneca County United Veteran’s Council performing military rites at the gravesite.
