Girtrue Williams, age 72 years died on June 12, 2001 at her residence. She
was born to Clabe and Alabam (Howard) Shepherd in Dry Run, Ohio. She
married Thomas B. Williams on July 28, 1949 in Greenup, Kentucky. He died
on December 4, 1988. Other survivors include 2 sons, Thomas E. and Timothy
R. Williams both of Tiffin, Ohio; 2 daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Terry) Parkins
of
Bloomville, Ohio; Mrs. Jeff (Tina) Seigley of Tiffin, Ohio; 6
grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Bruce and Marvin
Shepherd, of Waverly, Ohio and Moad Shepherd of Bainbridge, Ohio; 4
sisters, Dot Harness of Lucasville, Ohio; Freda Daniels, of Waverly, Ohio;
Jeanette Gunnoe of Chillicothe, Ohio; and Bronna Holbrook of Grandville,
Ohio 1 sister-in-law, Ima Courtney of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She is
preceded by 1 daughter, Pamela Kaye Williams.
Mrs. Williams was a graduate of Valley High School, in Lucasville, Ohio.
She was employed by Community Civic Center as a prep cook, and by
T.J. Willie's as a salad girl. She was an avid bowler and golfer. She was
President of the Tiffin Women's Bowling Association for 25+ years, Past
Sectretary of Monday Night Ladies League, Moose Lodge, Disabled American
Veterans, Amvets Post 48, Eagles Aerie 402.
