GERVASE EWALD EVANOFF, AGE 96, OF TOLEDO, DIED NOVEMBER 3, 2001. SHE WAS BORN JANUARY 10, 1905, IN TIFFIN, OHIO, TO WILLIAM AND IDA (PIRRUNG) MAYER. SHE WAS THE WIDOW OF JOHN E. EWALD, AND LATER THEODORE EVANOFF. SHE IS SURVIVED BY A NEPHEW, JAMES AND BARBARA MAYER OF LAMBERTVILLE; TWO NIECES, MRS. ROBERT (CAROLYN) MOLCHAN OF TEMPERANCE, AND MRS. GEORGE (JOYCE) SCHOMER OF SOUTH YARMOUTH, MASS.; A HALF-BROTHER, WILLIAM AND FAYE MAYER, AND A HALF-SISTER, HELEN FOX, BOTH OF FREMONT, OHIO. A BROTHER, GERALD MAYER, IS DECEASED. MRS. EVANOFF WAS A MEMBER OF CHRIST THE KING CATHOLIC CHURCH, TOLEDO, SHE LOVED DANCING AND THOUGHT A GREAT DEAL OF HER EXTENDED FAMILY OF NEPHEWS AND NIECES. BURIAL WILL BE IN THE PARISH CEMETERY. MEMORIALS MAY BE MADE TO HOSPICE OF NORTHWEST OHIO, 30000 E. RIVER ROAD, PERRYSBURG, OHIO 43551.
