Gertrude S. Orians, age 101, formerly of Vermilion, Ohio, died at 4:14 pm, Monday, January 28, 2008, at St. Francis Home, Tiffin.
She was born November 21, 1906, in Bucyrus, to the late Raphael Michael and Rose Mary (Jacoby) Lonsway. In 1931, she married George Orians, who died in 1961.
Mrs. Orians is survived by nieces and nephews, and a sister-in-law, June Lonsway of Huron. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Rose Orians.
Mrs. Orians farmed with her parents and later with her husband. She will be remembered for her special words of wisdom.
Funeral Mass will be Thursday 1pm at St. Francis Home Chapel. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Carey. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at St. Francis Home Chapel.
