Geraldine E. Joseph, age 89, of Kiwanis Manor, Tiffin, died at 4:30 pm, Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin.
She was born November 27, 1917, in Perrysburg Township, Ohio, to the late Charles and Susan (Standering) Phillips. On December 26, 1941, in Mineral Wells, Texas, she married Ned G. Joseph, and he died October 10, 1969.
Surviving are two sons, Richard C. Joseph of Tiffin, and Ronald N. (Sharon) Joseph of Dalton, Georgia; a daughter, Kay (Kent) Lincoln of Bowling Green, Ohio; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and a sister, Clona Foncannon of rural Fostoria.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Roberta O’Toole.
Mrs. Joseph graduated in 1935 from Jackson High School in Amsden, Ohio and was a former clerk at the Big N, Murphy Mart, and Ames Department Stores in Tiffin. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Tiffin and a member of Y-Wives.
Services will be at 11am on Saturday at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419)447-3113, with Rev. Scott Hayward officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Union Cemetery, Old Fort. Friends may call from 6-9pm Friday at the funeral home.
