GAYLORD R. TRAUTMAN, SR.

d. August 2, 2003

Gaylord R. Trautman, Sr. age 74 years, of 135 Coe Street, Tiffin, died at 6:15 A.M. Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at his residence.
He was born April 29, 1929, in Upper Sandusky to the late Otto and Viola (Hoerr) Troutman. His wife, Shirley (Kinstle Widhalm) Trautman, whom he married on July 7, 1984, in Tiffin, survives.
Other survivors include a step-daughter, Deborah (Joseph Paul) Biller of Tiffin; and 2 grandchildren, Holly and Adam Biller. He is also survived by two sons and a daughter from his first marriage.
Also preceding him I death were tow brothers, Lloyd Troutman, and Willis Trautman; and a sister Dorothy Quail.
Mr. Trautman retired in 1994 after 39 years at Whirlpool Corp. in CLYDE. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic church, Tiffin, and the Disabled American Veterans. He served in the U.S. Air Force and National Guard and received the National Defense Service Ribbon. He with his wife made and sold ornate crosses at fairs and festivals.
A funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 2, 2003 in St. Mary Catholic church, with the Rev. David M. Ross officiating. The rosary will be recited in the church 15 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Tiffin, with military rites conducted by the United veterans Council.
A wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Church or Heartland Home Hospice in care of Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113.
