GAETTA A. MURRAY

Gaetta A. Murray, 83, formerly of 187 N. Sandusky St., Tiffin, died at 6 pm Friday, June 18, 2004, at Friedman Village Retirement Community, Tiffin.
She was born February 7, 1921, in Eden Twp., Seneca County, to the late William J. and Anna (Stever) Hoffert. On October 3, 1942, she married Roger A. Murray in St. Patrick Church in Cleveland. He died September 24, 1982.
Survivors include two sons, Roger A. (Susan) Murray of Tiffin, and Patrick W. (Susan) Murray of Huron; three daughters, Elizabeth Ann (Thomas) Marco of Circleville, Kathleen M. (Frank) Young of Tiffin, and Rena G. (Leonard) Goshe, also of Tiffin; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a brother, Dr. Elwood (Marian) Hoffert of Tiffin; and a sister-in-law, Miriam Hoffert of Tiffin. She was preceded in death by stillborn twin children, Thomas and Mary Murray, two brothers, Morris and Wenner Hoffert, and two sisters, Mildred Reider and Margery Juniper.
Mrs. Murray was a graduate of Melmore High School and the Mount Sinai School of Nursing in Cleveland. She was retired as a registered nurse at Mercy Hospital, Tiffin, having worked for many years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and was a past president of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
A funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Wednesday, June 23, 2004, at St. Mary Catholic Church. Rev. timothy Ferris will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, at Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-3113. The Rosary will be recited in the church fifteen minutes prior to the Mass. Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospital or NARFE/Alzheimers.
