Frederick James Petsche, 67, of rural Tiffin, Ohio, formerly of Cleveland, Ohio died at 12:30 PM Thursday, June 23 in Mercy Hospital, Tiffin. He was born August 10, 1937 in Cleveland to the late John and Statia (Barth) Petsche. His wife, Elaine C. Ecos whom he married October 13, 1962 survives. Other survivors include sons James Frederick Petsche and Donald Joseph Petsche; daughters Diane and Emily Petsche; 3 grandchildren, a brother, Jack Petsche; sisters, Marjorie Rupp and Carol Holzheimer; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Petsche was a 1955 graduate of Garfield Heights High School and attended John Carroll University for 2 years. He worked in civil engineering and construction in Cleveland before moving to Tiffin in 1972 to engage in farming. He served with the Ohio Army National Guard and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiffin.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00AM Monday, June 27, 2005 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiffin with Rev. James Say officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 on Sunday at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. The rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the service.
