Francis A. Sertell, age 85 years of 15 Grammes Street, Tiffin, Ohio died, 5:00 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2003 in Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin. He was born on December 31, 1917 in Niles, Ohio to James Daniel and Bertha Mary (Ardner) Sertell. They are deceased. He married Hildegarde M. Reinhart on June 27, 1945 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin. She died on January 20, 2000.
Other survivors include, 1 sons, Nicholas (Ann) Sertell of Ypsilanti, Michigan, 2 grandchildren, Beth (Kyle) Mills and Mary Sertell, 1 sister, Mary C. Heddens, of Mishawaka, Indiana. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, James E.; Paul J.; Louis; and Richard Sertell.
Mr. Sertell was retired from Ohio Brass Company in Mansfield. He was also a restaurant proprietor in Fredericktown, owning the Cottage Inn. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII in the European Theatre.
Mr. Sertell was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and the Allen Eiry Senior Center.
The Rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the Funeral Mass at the church.
Burial will be immediately following the Mass in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
