Evelyn Rose Kimmet, age 98, formerly of W. SR 18, Tiffin, died at 6:30 am Saturday, December 27, at Elmwood Nursing Home, Green Springs.
She was born September 24, 1910, in Bascom, to the late Henry and Myrtle Kuhn. On June 20, 1933, in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bascom, she married Oliver M. Kimmet. He died May 10, 1994.
Survivors include two sons, Eugene (Carol Ann) Kimmet and Donald Kimmet, both of Tiffin; one granddaughter, Vicki L. Kimmet, and one great-grandson Britton Kimmet.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Richard Kuhn, and three sisters, Dorothy Boes, Florence Romig, and Alice Hammer.
Mrs. Kimmet retired from Fostoria Ford and also farmed with her husband. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 am, Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. The Rosary will be recited in church fifteen minutes prior to Mass. The burial will take place immediately following in St. Joseph Cemetery.
