Evelyn R. Del Turco, age 91, formerly of Grammes St., Tiffin, died at 4:30 pm, Friday, November 14, 2008, at St. Francis Home, Tiffin.
She was born January 13, 1917, in Tiffin, to the late Nicholas and Catherine (Kinn) Reinhart. On October 11, 1939, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, she married James Del Turco. He died November 29, 1989.
Mrs. Del Turco is survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Barbara Reinhart, Hildegarde Sertell, and Irma Clouse.
Mrs. Del Turco was a retired beautician and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its Rosary Altar Society. She was an avid swimmer, having remained an active swimmer up into her 80’s. She was also a former Girl Scout Leader, and she volunteered at the Sharing Kitchen. She also volunteered at St. Francis Home and at the Gift Shop at Mercy Hospital.
A Memorial Mass will be noon Saturday, November 22, 2008, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. There will be no visitation. The body has been donated to the University of Toledo Medical Center.
