Eulalis M. Walliser, age 85, of Tiffin, Ohio, died at 4:30 am Saturday, May 29, 2010, at her son’s residence in Charlestown, Indiana.
She was born April 9, 1925, in Marblehead, Ohio, to the late Frank and Anna (Adams) Ontko. She married Donald J. Walliser June 10, 1946, in Marblehead, and he preceded her in death October 15, 2004.
Survivors include two sons, Dean (Judy) Walliser of Lancaster, Ohio, and Kevin (Deb) Walliser of Charlestown, Ind.; two daughters, Becky (Lynn) Griffin and Jan (Doug) Sampson, both of Tiffin; six grandchildren, Eric, Brittany, Carrie, Holly, Brad, and Tyler; four great grandchildren, Colton, Corinne, Kyle and Max; a sister, Marian Griesser of Marblehead.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Francis, Dan, C.W. and Aloysius Ontko; six sisters, Nettie Fish, Anna Dziak, Madeline Ringholz, Pauline Chagnon, Josephine Stocks and Dolores Strickler.
Mrs. Walliser was a graduate of Lakeside High School. She worked as a receptionist for Dr. Consolo, and then later retired as a receptionist/office manager at James Wilson, DDS. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its Women’s Choir, Allen Eiry Senior Choir, Seneca Ladies Golf League, and St. Francis Auxiliary.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 419-447-3113. A Parish Wake Service will be at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m., followed by the funeral Mass at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 2, 2010, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice or a charity of the donor’s choice in care of Traunero Funeral Home.
