Eugene Carl Heyman

Eugene Carl Heyman 95, of Tiffin, died at 12:42 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at the Willows in Tiffin.

Eugene was born October 12, 1926, in Seneca County to Herschel and Mary (Hermiller) Heyman. He married Sharma Thompson, June 2, 1956, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, and she survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Beth A. (James) Link of Tiffin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Shirley Bernard; and a brother, Robert Heyman.

Eugene was a 1944 graduate of Calvert Catholic High School. He worked at Snider Meat Market, worked for his father at Heyman Furniture and Appliance, and retired from the Tiffin Developmental Center. Eugene was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Amvets, Eagles, Moose, Elks, and American Legion. He enjoyed playing poker with his friends, casino trips, golf, and fishing.

Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Calvert Foundation or St. Joseph Catholic Church.
