Esther Rosina Terry, age 88 of Ohio Ave., Tiffin died at 10:50 P.M., Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at St. Francis Home, Tiffin.
She was born in Tiffin to the late Frank and Lillian (Hildabidel) Willman, September 16, 1921. She married Constantine Terry October 25, 1947 in St. Joseph Catholic Church and he survives in Tiffin.
Other survivors include, two sons, Stephen Terry of Tiffin and Joseph (Ina) Terry of Portage, Ohio; two daughters, Ginny (Dana) Mesnard, of Republic and Louise (Duane) Hoschak of Toledo; 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren, and a sister, Sr. Ann Louise Willman, RSM of Fremont.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Theodore, Frank, Joseph, and John Willman, three sisters, Marcella Horning, Gertrude Stein, and Sr. Mary Louise Willman, CSA and two infant sisters.
Esther worked at the Tiffin Glass House, then she worked at Sterling Abrasives until 1949 after which she remained a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a Eucharistic Minister for shut ins from 1986 - 1997 and a former volunteer at Mercy Hospital from 1978 – 1997.
Esther was an avid doll collector, gardener, and nature enthusiast.
Family and friends may visit from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. A Wake service will be at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 26, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. The Rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will take place immediately following at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation, St. Francis Home, St. Joseph Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice in care of the funeral home.
