On May 19, 2005, Esther M. Brandt, 94, formerly of Rt. #1., Carey, Ohio entered into her heavenly kingdom surrounded by her loving family at 12:05 PM at Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin, Ohio. She was born September 9, 1910 in Marywood, Ohio to the late Louis and Mary (Wurm) Schneider, Sr. On November 22, 1932 in Marywood, she married Leo E. Brandt, who died May 31, 1988.
Mrs. Brandt is survived by her sons, Edward (Ruth) Brandt of Fremont,Ohio; Leonard (Terri) Brandt of Traverse City, Michigan; 2 daughters, Marie Miller of Republic and Berneda (Vincent) Grine of Fostoria, Ohio; 25 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, 3 step great grandchildren, 3 step great great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Gerald, Louis, and Eugene Schneider all of Bellevue; and a sister Eileen Wise of Republic.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son-in-law, Arthur Miller; 3 grandchildren, Barbara, Larry, and Kenny Grine; 3 sisters, Lucille Schneider, Anita Miller and Alma Leis; 2 brothers, Urban and Arnold Schneider.
Mrs. Brandt, a homemaker, was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Frenchtown, Ohio where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday May 23, 2005 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Burial will take place immediately following the Mass in St. Nicholas Catholic Cemetery. A Wake Service will be Sunday, May 22, 2005 at 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Visitation will be from 3:00- 8:30 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
