Emma Lucille Logsdon, 88, formerly of Tiffin, died at 4:40am Thursday, July 12, 2007 at Briar Hill Nursing Home in Middlefield, Ohio. She was born on October 20, 1918 in Carey, Ohio to the late Charles H. and Emma C. Mattmiller. On April 19, 1941, Emma married Robert Carl Logsdon and he survives.
Survivors include two sons, Tim (Wanda) Logsdon of Huntsburg, Ohio and Tom Logsdon of Upper Arlington, Ohio; and one grandson, Matthew Grant Logsdon of Columbus, Ohio.
She is preceded by a son, James Logsdon; two daughters, Joyce and Theresa Logsdon; and two sisters, Una Lonsway and Marie Geren.
Mrs. Logsdon graduated from Columbian High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Presbyterian church and was active in Little League baseball, the VFW, and was an accomplished seamstress.
Family and Friends may call from 6-8 pm, Friday, July 13, 2007 and one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113.
The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 14, 2007 with Rev. Richard Mahlmann officiating at Traunero Funeral Home. Burial will take place immediately following in Fairmont Cemetery in Tiffin.
Contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice in care of Traunero Funeral Home.
