Eloise Marie (Ellie) Cook, age 71, of Tiffin, died at 4:45pm Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at Fremont Memorial Hospital.
She was born on April 8, 1936 in Seneca County to the late Charles R. and Margaret L. (Arnold) Williams and married Ray Alan Cook on June 5, 1954. They later divorced and he is deceased.
Mrs. Cook is survived by three sons, James Eugene Cook of Tiffin, John Ray (Jean) Cook of Tiffin, and Cal Edward (Karma) Cook of Bascom; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Charles Ralph Williams of Fostoria, and Joseph Edward Williams of rural Tiffin.
She was preceded in death by a son William Allen Cook and two brothers Laurence Albert Williams and Robert Oliver Williams.
Mrs. Cook was a 1954 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and was a factory worker for one year at Essex Wire in Carey, an 17 year employee at Sterling Abrasive and waitress for seven years at Riverview Inn. She was a 26 year member of the Tiffin Moose. She worked as a substitute cafeteria helper for four years at Tiffin City Schools. She was also an aide at Tiffin Mercy Hospital for three years in the early 1950’s. She was a member of the Protestant faith. She enjoyed bowling and motorcycle poker runs.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 11am at Traunero Funeral Home with Rev. Kirt Thallman officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Tiffin. Visitation will be on Friday from 5-8 pm and Saturday one hour prior to the service at Traunero Funeral Home 214 S. Monroe Street Tiffin, Ohio 44883 419-447-3113.
