Elizabeth 'Betty' A. Dunn, 86, formerly of Lelar Street, Tiffin died at 11:55 a.m.,Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at Elmwood at the Shawhan. Elizabeth was born in Piqua, OH, August 6, 1919, to the late William and Anna (Murphy) Chronerberry. On October 14, 1941 she married John Dunn at Our Lady of Consolation Church in Carey, OH. He survives.
Betty is also survived by two sons; Dr. Michael L. Dunn and his wife, Mary, of Libertyville, IL., John P. Dunn and wife, Leslie, of Shaker Heights, OH, four grandchildren; Murphy, Mary Beth, Sean, and Andrew Dunn, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her parents, three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Betty was a graduate of Piqua High School and attended St. Vincent School of Nursing in Toledo, OH.
She was active in many community activities. She was a leader for Girl Scouts, Den mother for the Boy Scouts, a founding member of the St. Francis Home Auxiliary, a Betty Jane Volunteer, and a member of the St. Mary’s Altar Society, Mohawk Golf Club, and belonged to numerous bridge clubs.
Msgr. Edward Dunn and Rev. Richard Dunn will officiate the Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 21, 2006. Visitation will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday July 21, in the vestibule of the church. On behalf of Betty, her family welcomes all of her friends to a celebration of life at Mohawk Golf and Country Club at 2:00 p.m. Friday, following the Mass
Burial will be at a later date at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
