Eileen M. Bowser, 100, of Tiffin, died at 7 p.m. Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Tiffin Rehab Center.
She was born May 5, 1921, in Tiffin, to Anthony H. and Mary B. (Hoepf) Martin. She married James T. Bowser March 11, 1950, in St. Mary's Rectory, and he died April 17, 2019.
Survivors include a son, Thomas A. Bowser of Pearland, Texas; a daughter, Celeste M. Schultz of Bradner; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers, Charles R. Martin of Norwalk, and Louis Martin of Dayton; and a sister, Martina Boe of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister, Rosemary Budzis.
Eileen was a graduate of Bellevue High School and was a hostess at The Covered Wagon for 14 years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She was the former Chairwoman for the American Red Cross. She also managed the Kiwanis Manor gift shop for many years.
A Memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 4, 2021, at St. Mary Catholic Church. Rev. Matthew Rader will officiate. Eileen donated her body to The Ohio State University Department of Anatomy. Burial will be at Pleasant Ridge, Egbert Cemetery, at a later date.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or to St. Mary Catholic Church.
