Earl J. Shultz, 88, of Tiffin, Ohio died at 12:15 am Monday, October 29, 2007 at St. Francis Home. He was born October 12, 1919 in Tiffin to the late Otto and Louise (Wagner) Shultz. On June 4, 1942, he married Agnes R. Sloma in Camp Claiborne, Lousiana and she died on July 28, 2003.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Hohman of Kenton, Ohio; a son, Kenneth (Millicent) Martin-Shultz of Brooklyn Heights, Ohio and; nine grandchildren, Mathew Hohman, Jonathan Hohman, Bethany Metter, Benjamin Hohman, Amanda Hohman, Kathleen (Martin-Shultz) Jasko, Elizabeth (Martin-Shultz) McMillin, Russell Martin-Shultz, Fredrick Martin-Shultz; four great grandchildren, four step great grandchildren, and two step great-great grandchildren; a brother, Harold Shultz of Tiffin; and a sister, Betty Lou Feasel of Tiffin.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Marion Shultz.
Mr. Shultz graduated from Calvert High School in 1938 and attended Tiffin University for two years. He was in the Army during World War II in the 82nd Infantry. Mr. Shultz retired from National Machinery in 1980 after 25 years of service. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Quarter Century Club, the Holy Name Society, and was an avid golfer.
Family and Friends may call from 10:15 – 11:15 am, Wednesday, October 31, 2007, at St. Francis Home Chapel, 182 St. Francis Avenue, Tiffin, Ohio.
The Funeral Mass will be at 11:15 am, Wednesday, October 31, 2007 with Rev. Richard Dunn officiating at St. Francis Chapel. Burial will take place immediately following in St. Joseph Cemetery.
