Dorothy Louise (Saul) Eichenberger, age 92, of Louisville, KY, formerly of Seneca County, died at 11:30 am Friday, May 2, 2003, at Jefferson Place, Louisville. She was born March 21, 1911, in Bucyrus, Ohio, to the late William Jacob and Florina (Heiberthausen) Breymaier. She married Charles S. Saul on June 17, 1932, in Bucyrus. Mr. Saul died in 1978 after 46 years of marriage. She then married Harold Ahle in 1979. Mr. Ahle died in 1990 after 11 years of marriage. She then married Robert Eichenberger in 1993. He died in 1995 after two years of marriage.
Survivors include a son, William (Irene) Saul of Anchorage, KY, a step-son, Joseph Charles (Jean) Saul of Troy, Ohio, a daughter, Sue Ann (Milton) Schrecongost of Citrus Heights, CA, a sister, Eleanor Campbell of Bucyrus, seven grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Eichenberger attended grade school and two years of high school in Bucyrus, Ohio. Junior and senior years of high school were attended at Springfield, Ohio. She attended Wittenberg College and The Ohio State University.
Mrs. Eichenberger taught three years at Norton Elementary School in Bucyrus, and 30 years in the Tiffin Public Schools, mainly at Noble Elementary. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Tiffin, and its Widow’s Club, the Tiffin Women’s Club, Retired Teachers Association of Tiffin, and A.A.R.P.
Burial will be in the Pleasant View Primitive Baptist Cemetery, rural Melmore, Ohio. Memorials may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ.
