Dorothy Marie Houck, 89, formerly of Leisure Lane, Norwalk, Ohio, died at 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at St. Francis Home, Tiffin, Ohio. She was born November 27, 1916 in Tiffin, to the late Austin and Armena (Gillig) Houck.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her step mother, Marie Houck, who raised her; 3 brothers, Phil, George and Walter Houck; 5 sisters, Laura Rospert, Emma Leahy, Betty Schumm, and Alice and Margaret Houck.
Ms. Houck was a former housekeeper for Rev. Benedict Ringholz for over 40 years.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 30, 2006 at St. Francis Home Chapel with Rev. Benedict Ringholz officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at the St. Francis Home Chapel. Burial will take place immediately following in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
