Doris R. Drake, 78, formerly of 165 Melmore St., Tiffin, died at 3:10 pm Wednesday, March 10, 2004, in Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin. She was born May 16, 1925, in Seneca County, to the late Marion O. and Mary Alma (Hilderbrand) Drake, Sr. Ms. Drake never married.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Etho M. (Dale) Jumper, brothers, Harold E. (Carol) Drake, and Marion O. (Joyce) Drake, Jr., all of Tiffin; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Mayo Drake of Fremont. She was also very close to her many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was a brother, Ralph W. Drake.
She was employed by Dr. and Mrs. Walter A. Daniel for over 40 years. She loved to work in her yard and garden, and bake cookies. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Tiffin, a life member of Eden Grange 2550, Melmore, and a member of Melmore Rebekah Lodge. Memorial Services will be 10:30 am Saturday, April 3, 2004, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, with Rev. Scott Hayward officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore.
