Donna Jean Carter, age 68, of rural Republic, Ohio, died December 28, 2003. She was born on January 23, 1935 to Arthur W. and Gladys (Lippert) Lee in Green Springs, Ohio. On September 5, 1952 she married Edward "Ted" Carter at Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Tiffin. He survives.
She is also survived by 4 sons, John (Linda) Carter, Edward Carter, Tracy (Nannette) Carter, and Troy (Angie) Carter, and 2 daughters, Darleen (Keith) Ward and Susan (Robert) Norville, all of Tiffin; 21 Grandchildren, 5 Step Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren; 2 brothers, Raymond (Phyllis) Lee and Clayton (Sandy) Lee, both of Tiffin; and 3 sisters, Rosalyn Snyder, of Tiffin, Mardell (Robert) Hill, of Florida, and Evelyn (Rick) James, of Tiffin.
She was preceded by 1 brother, Melvin Lee, 1 sister, Margaret Boonie, and 1 great grandson, Chanc' Michael Mongeau.
Mrs. Carter was a retired Cook at Megan's Alpine Tavern. She had also worked at Tiffin Glass Company and St. Francis Home. She was past President of VFW 2858 Auxiliary, past Commander D.A.V. 34 Auxiliary and past President AmVets 48 Auxiliary.
