Donna Marie (Walliser) Steinmetz, 94, of Tiffin, died at 12:31 a.m. Monday, August 14, 2017, at Mercy Health Tiffin Hospital.
Donna was born July 4, 1923, in Tiffin to Fred and Louisa (Homan) Walliser. She married Eugene B. Steinmetz, November 7, 1942, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He died October 14, 1995.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Louise Steinmetz of Jackson, Michigan and Anne Geralyn Steinmetz of Tiffin; two grandchildren, Rebecca Elizabeth Champney and Jennifer Lee (Chad Huffman) Steinmetz; a brother Eugene L. Walliser of Tiffin; a sister, Imogene L. (Walliser) Collet of Tiffin; Special Nieces, Carolyn Mathias and Jeanette Overmyer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Lillian Yost, and a brother Fred Walliser, Jr.
Donna was a homemaker and clerk at Fort Ball Hardware Store, was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a 4-H advisor
Visitation for family and friends will be 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 36 Melmore Street, Tiffin.
Mass will be 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at church 20 minutes prior to the Mass.
Memorial contribution may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
