Donna Jean Randell

Donna Jean Randell, 94, of Tiffin, died on June 28, 2024, at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.

She was born at home on April 12, 1930, on Hall St. in Tiffin, to Mary Mabel (Frank) and Lee Egbert Tuman. She graduated from Columbian High School in 1948 and was married to Gilbert Edward Randell November 25, 1948.

Donna’s family includes a daughter, Jennifer A. Geib of Dover; a son, David A. Randell (Laura) of Tiffin; grandchildren, Christopher Geib; Timothy Geib; Anne Geib Dorris (Greg); Joshua Randell (Faye); Christine Kruisenga (Patrick); and 9 great grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her sister, Lela Windau, and by her former husband, Gilbert Randell.

Donna’s faith was nurtured throughout her life at St. John’s United Church of Christ, where she served on the floral decoration committee. She was also a member of the Ruth Circle, Midday Fellowship and the O.W.L.S. 

Her professional career spanned 53 years at the New Riegel Café until her retirement at the age of 84. There she served as a waitress and a constant friendly face to care for the guests of the restaurant. Donna also served as an assistant to Dr. John Bremyer, a Tiffin podiatrist, for 20 years. After retiring, she generously volunteered her time to the Fair Haven Community of Upper Sandusky. 

She enjoyed making floral arrangements for many occasions and offering them from the front porch of her home.

Visitation will be Tuesday July 2, 2024, from noon to 1 p.m., at TRAUNERO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. 

 A remembrance service will begin at 1 p.m., followed by burial at Green Springs Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s United Church of Christ, Humane Society of Seneca County, or Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.
