Don D. Ellenwood, 91, of Kiwanis Manor, Tiffin, Ohio died at 6:05 p.m., Thursday, September 21, 2006 at Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin. He was born August 6, 1915 in Findlay, Ohio to the late Donald D. and Ora M. (Drake) Ellenwood. He married Janice Daum, they divorced, he then married Mae Hamrick Snyder & they later divorced.
Survivors include 2 sons; Mike Ellenwood, Ft. Wayne, IN, Dan (Cindy) Ellenwood, Anna, OH,
2 daughters; Kay (Adam) Schmucker, Tiffin, Sandy (Lonnie) Jenneman, Ft. Wayne, IN, 4 Step-daughters; Peg (James) Terry, Lexington, TN, Sally (Mark) Wagner, Tiffin, Deb Dodson, Bettsville, Kathy (Robert) Free, Tiffin, 4 step-sons; Jim (Kate) Snyder, Bowling Green, OH, Tom (Jeanie) Snyder, Tiffin, Chuck Snyder, Bettsville, Dick (Robin) Snyder, Lexington, TN, many grand children and great grandchildren and a sister Olive Yaple, Columbus,OH.
He was preceded in death by a step son, Bob Snyder and a brother, James Ellenwood.
Mr. Ellenwood, a graduate of Saginaw High School, Michigan, retired in 1985 as a Sales Manager at Beard Industries in Frankfort, IN. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Eagles, and a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
A funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 25, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will take place at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the service at the church. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, September 24, 2006 at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S.
