Donald R. Fox, age 74, of 5288 W. TR 90, New Riegel, died at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at his residence.
He was born on June 23, 1930 to Waldo Reed and Aurelia Alma (Yost) Fox. His wife, Mary Catherine (Kern) Fox, whom he married July 2, 1955, in St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Riegel, Ohio, survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Jeffery L. (Justine) Fox of New Riegel, Ohio; a daughter, Barbara A. (Barton) Crabtree of Bascom, Ohio; 6 grandchildren, Lynette Fox, Jennifer Fox, Joshua Fox, Justin Fox, Jill Fox, and Brianna Crabtree; a brother, Robert (Sandy) Fox; and 3 sisters, Mildred Basinger, Linda Kuhn and Wanda (Robert) Deitemeyer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, twin sister, Donna Gaertner and sister, Peggy Law.
Mr. Fox, a 1948 graduate of Arcadia High School, retired from the Seneca Wire and Manufacturing in Fostoria, in 1993, after 43 years of service.
He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Riegel and the Seneca County Farm Bureau. Mr. Fox was a veteran of the U. S. Army, having served in Korea.
The Funeral Mass will be officiated by Rev. Ron Schock. The rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery with the American Legion performing military graveside rites.
The American Legion will perform a memorial service, Friday, July 30, 2004 at 8:30 p.m. followed by a parish wake service at 8:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
