Donald James Walliser, 81 of E. CR 16, Tiffin, Ohio died at 11;15 A.M. Friday, Oct.15, 2004 at his residence.
He was born June 5, 1923 in Tiffin, to Al and Corinne (Schoen) Walliser and they are deceased. He married Eulalis Ontko June 10, 1946, in Marblehead and she survives.
Other survivors include: 2 sons, Dean (Judy) Walliser of Lancaster, Ohio and Kevin (Deb) Walliser of Tiffin; 2 daughters, Becky (Lynn) Griffin of Tiffin, and Jan (Doug) Sampson of Tiffin; and 6 grandchildren, Eric, Brittany, Carrie, Holly, Brad and Tyler.
A brother, Pete Walliser, preceded him in death.
He was a 1942 Columbian High School graduate and retired in 1984 as an insurance agent for Prudential. He then worked as a courier for National City Bank. He was a member of the United States Coast Guard, St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Elks Lodge, the Knights of Columbus, and the Disabled American Veterans.
Rev. James K. Say will officiate the Funeral Mass and burial will take place immediately following the Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
The Rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. The United Veteran’s Council of Seneca County will perform military rites at the grave.
