Donald L. Jackson, 83, of Tiffin, died at 1:52 pm Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at Sunrise Hospital, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Donald was born August 2, 1933 in Columbus to Carl and Hazel (Evans) Jackson. He married Louella Clark April 19, 1957 in Tennessee and she survives in Tiffin.

Other survivors include three sons, Joe (Janeen) Jackson of Tiffin, Douglas (Veronica) Jackson of Cape Coral, Florida, and Kevin Jackson of Carey; six grandchildren, Brent Jackson of Charlotte, North Carolina, Donald Jackson of Cape Coral, Florida, Mackenzie Jackson of Cape Coral, Florida, Julie Smith of Fostoria, Jyl Zeis of Tiffin, Justin Trautman of Tiffin; three sisters, Mary Sellers of Columbus, Joyce Linnabary of Columbus, and Jo Ann Shepard of North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Bryan A. Jackson; and a brother, Paul Jackson.

Donald served in the U. S. Army, and later retired as a lineman for the Ohio Bell Telephone Company after 36 years.  He was the former owner of the Carey Pizza Palace, a member of First Lutheran Church and the Eagles. Donald collected antiques, milk bottles and insulators.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at the Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-3113, with Rev. Jan Kucera officiating.  Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be from noon until time of the service Tuesday.

Memorial contribution may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in care of the funeral home.
