Dean B. Herron, age 82 years, of N. Washington Street, Tiffin, Ohio, died at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at St. Vincent-Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio. He was born on February 23, 1923 to the late Marshall and Rose (Barton) Herron in New Cumberland, West Virginia. On November 20, 1939 in Wellsburg, West Virginia, he married Juanita Williamson and she survives.
Other survivors include, 3 sons, Robert (Diane) Herron of Carrollton, Ohio; Patrick (Rachel) Herron of Tiffin, Ohio; David (Kris) Herron of Greenwood, Indiana; 1 daughter, Margie (Dan) Best of Elida, Ohio; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Lynn Herron of Malvern, Ohio; and 1 sister, Eleanor Weltner, of Georgetown, Pennsylvania.
He is preceded in death by 1 brother, John Herron and 1 great grandson, Andrew Herron.
Mr. Herron was a graduate of New Cumberland High School, West Virginia. He had retired as a construction superintendent for Podojil Builders, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a member of the Sycamore United Church of Christ.
The funeral service will be officated by Rev. Lon McSherley at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 5, 2005 at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Friday, November 4, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will take place immediately following the funeral service in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore, Ohio.
