David V. Ardner, 45, 520 Autumnwood Drive, Unit B, Tiffin, died at 10:05 a.m. Monday, August 18, 2003, in the Emergency Room of Mercy Hospital of Tiffin. He was born September 25, 1957, in Seneca County, Ohio, to Lester Ardner of Sandusky and Lou Ann (Paul) Arbogast of Tiffin. His wife, Sylvia (Butturff) Ardner, whom he married April 22, 1978, in Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Tiffin, survives.
Other survivors include: a daughter, Danielle Ardner, at home; two sisters, Debra (Donald) Weber of Huron, Ohio, and Nancy Virkler, of Findlay; and 11 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by George and Genevieve Shultz, Edward and Rose Ardner, and Joseph A. Virkler.
Mr. Ardner, a 1975 Calvert High School graduate, also graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1994 from Terra Tech. He was employed as a design engineer at Tiffin Scenic Studios for nine years. He was treasurer, for 12 years, of Woodlawn Condominium Association. He was a crane operator and construction foreman for Revere Outdoor Advertising in Hyattsville, Md. He enjoyed computers, was an avid Steelers fan, a basketball coach and an overall great guy. He gave of himself to others as an organ donor.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery immediately following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, OH 44883.
