Daniel G. Huffman, 53, of Duchess Court, Tiffin, died at 4:00pm Friday, May 25, 2007 at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio. He was born on December 23, 1953 in Tiffin to the late Eugene and Doris (Palmer) Huffman.
On January 20, 1979, Daniel married DeJane Hackenburg at the United Church of Christ in Bloomville.
Surviving are his wife, son Dennis Huffman of Bowling Green, and daughter Danielle Huffman at home. Also surviving are brothers Patrick (Sharon) Huffman of Tiffin, Michael (Linda) Huffman of Tiffin, John (Deloris) Huffman of Chicago, IL; sisters Marilyn (Eugene) Zoeller of Tiffin, Kathy (Henry) Gifford of Tiffin, and Marjorie (Ivan) Frankhart of Broadway, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
Daniel is preceded in death by brothers James Huffman and George Huffman; and sister Mary Crider.
A graduate of Calvert High School in 1973, Daniel was a carpenter and a craftsman cabinet maker and worked for Jim Perry Construction. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tiffin and also a member of the Moose and Eagles Lodges. Daniel loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and motorcycles.
A funeral Mass will be officiated by Rev. David Ross at 11am on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tiffin. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will take place immediately following the funeral in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family for daughter Danielle Huffman’s college fund.
