Daniel Edward Leahy, age 69, of Hilliard, Ohio and formerly of Tiffin, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2008, at his daughter’s residence in Hilliard.
Daniel was born on February 2, 1939 and raised in Tiffin. He was a 1957 graduate of Calvert High School. He attended Valparaiso College in Indiana and worked as a land surveyor. He was a loving father and grandfather.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, James and Elizabeth Leahy, an infant brother, Terence Thomas and a sister and Bridget Jane.
He is survived by his four children, Kelly Leahy of Worthington, Ohio; Maureen (Joe) Leahy-Hunter of Brooklyn, MI; Kevin Leahy of Hilliard and Erin Leahy of Hilliard; nine grandchildren, Taylor and Kelsy Hunter, Delaney and Callihan Clayton, Katie and Michael Leahy, Owen, Brennan and Mairen Connolly; and his seven brothers and sisters, James Patrick Leahy, Susan (David) Aller, Tim Leahy, Colleen (Jack Callahan) Leahy, Shannon Leahy, Terri (Bob) Kline and Molly (Jim) Rogan; numerous relatives and a host of friends.
Rev. Michael Dandurand will conduct a Celebration of Life Service at 4:00 pm Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe St, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. Visitation hours will be held from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
