Dale was born March 8, 1925, in Melmore to Harry William and Margaret E. (Smoot) Jumper. He married Etho Marie Drake on May 7, 1948, and she passed away May 25, 2010. They enjoyed 62 years of marriage.
Dale is survived by a son, David Allen Jumper of Tiffin; a daughter Alice M. Black of Foley, Alabama; a sister, Margaret Distel of Tiffin, a brother-in-law, Marion Drake of Tiffin; and a granddaughter, Amanda Felicijian.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Robert, Paul, Raymond, and Russell; four sisters, Martha, Evelyn, Helen, and Patricia.
Dale was a high school graduate, a WWII veteran who served in the Philippines as a Navy Sea Bee. He retired from Fostoria Chrysler Corporation as a molder after 30 years. Dale was a member of the Tiffin AmVets Post 48, VFW Post 2858, Eagles Lodge 402 and the Faith United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, yard and garden work.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6-8 PM, Thursday, August 15, 2013 at the Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883, 419-447-3113.
His funeral will be at 10:30 AM, Friday, August 16, 2013 at the funeral home with the Rev. Donna Van Trees officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore.
