Cleophas Otto Brickner, 82 years old, of 6018 W. CR 38, Fostoria, died at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2000. He was born to Otto S. and Mary (Scherger) Brickner on December 5, 1917 in Seneca County. On November 22, 1945 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, he married Rita M. Breidenbach. She survives at home.
He is also survived by one son, Ronald O. Brickner; three daughters, Darlene Hohman, Mrs. Brett (Lois) Willoughby, and Mrs. Paul (Donna) Gosche; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Carl (Bernadine) Depinet. He was preceded by two brothers, Arthur and Urban Brickner.
He retired from National Machinery Company after 25 years and also worked as a farmer.
He was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church, in Liberty Township and National Machinery Quarter Century Club.
A wake service will be held at 7:45 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home during visitation.
Burial will take place immediately following the funeral Mass at the parish cemetery.
