Clement M. Wurm, age 85, formerly of 547 Miami Street, Tiffin, died at 8:35 am Saturday, November 22, 2008, at the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky, Ohio.
He was born June 18, 1923, in Venice Township, Seneca County, to the late Alphonse and Rose (Ruffing) Wurm. In 1947, he married Annamae Hohsman, who died March 17, 1979. In 1982, he married Patricia Topper. She died April 30, 2001.
Survivors include two brothers, Victor (Marilyn) Wurm of Tiffin, and Robert Wurm of Maryland; and three sisters, Mary Holmer of Attica, Agnes (Thomas) Depinet of Bloomville, and Lucille (Charles) Mirtes of Bellevue.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Arnold and Bernard Wurm.
Mr. Wurm was a retired Superintendent of Maintenance for the Standard Oil Company of Ohio. He was a World War II veteran of the US Army and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the American Legion, and a life member of the VFW.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Rev. Eric Culler officiating. The Rosary will be recited in Church fifteen minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, with military rites conducted by the Seneca County United Veterans Council.
Visitation will be 3-8 pm Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419)447-3113. The rosary will be recited at 2:45 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Calvert Catholic Schools or to Stein Hospice in care of Traunero Funeral Home.
