Clarence E. “Skeeter” Baker, age 70, of N. SR 101, Tiffin, died at 12:16 a.m., Thursday, May 25, 2006, at St. Vincent- Mercy Medical Center, Toledo. He was born on July 4, 1935, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Ruben E. and Florence A. (Boals) Baker.
On December 10, 1954, in Columbus, Ohio, he married Noretta M. Clemmer and she survives. Other survivors include 1 son, Richard E. (Cathy) Baker of Tiffin; and 1 daughter, Terri L. (Tim) Spelich of Bella Vista, Arkansas ; and 6 grandchildren, Amanda Lovelace; Rebecca Spelich; Ryan Baker; McKenna Lovelace; Chris Baker; and Alena Lovelace. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Jan Lovelace, and an infant brother, Richard E. Baker.
Mr. Baker was a graduate of East High School, Columbus, and Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio. He served in the United States Navy. Mr. Baker had retired in 2000 as an Application Developer for Allied Signal Corporation in Fostoria. He was a member of the Farm Bureau.
Funeral Services will be officiated by Rev. John Brown at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 26, 2006 at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Friday, May 26, 2006 and one hour prior to the service, Saturday at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association in care of Traunero Funeral Home.
