CLARA LOUISE LYDEY

Clara Louise Lydey, age 88, formerly of Minerva St., Tiffin, died at 12:40 am, Saturday, June 21, 2008, at Bellevue Hospital, following a long illness.

She was born January 18, 1920, in Sycamore, to the late Walter and Clara (Montz) Hussey. On June 27, 1941, in Defiance, she married Edward H. “Bus” Lydey, who died August 6, 2000.

Survivors are four loving and devoted daughters, Marcia (Richard) Tidwell, of Cumming, Georgia; Barbara Lydey, Johnstown, Ohio; Margaret (Rick) Woodford, Naperville, Illinois; Deborah (Gene) Klara, Punta Gorda, Florida; four granddaughters, Monica (Ron) Stahlschmidt, Scottsdale, Arizona; Chanda (Doug) Moore, Wildwood, Missouri; Lindsay Byrne, Los Angeles, California; Kate Woodford, Naperville, Illinois; two grandsons, Paul Tidwell of Springfield, Illinois, and Keith Tidwell of Rochester, Minnesota; three great grandsons, Haden Moore and Charlie & Wyatt Stahlschmidt; a sister, Mabel Hussey of Tiffin and a brother Bob Hussey of Carey, Ohio.

She is preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Angel, Edith Neikirk and Phyllis Simonis; and four brothers, Harry, Earl, Burke and John Hussey.

Mrs. Lydey was a graduate of Sycamore High School. She retired after 21 years in sales at the LaSalle’s/ Macy’s department store in Tiffin. She was a member of St. Francis Auxiliary. She enjoyed life to the fullest and had a great sense of humor. She loved being with her family and friends and shopping with her daughters.

Funeral services for Clara will be at 4:30 pm, Thursday, July 3, 2008 officiated by Rev. Marilin Miller at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 419-447-3113. Burial will be private in Mexico Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2- 4:30pm Thursday, July 3, at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made to the Ritz Theatre, Tiffin-Seneca Public Library or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
