Charles E. Sanders, age 75, of E. CR 16, Tiffin, Ohio died at 2:59 P.M. in Mercy Hospital, Tiffin. He was born on July 22, 1930 in Bellevue, Ohio to Dr. Edward W. and Mary (Kingman) Sanders. On April 14, 1951, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, he married Alice Welter who survives.
Other survivors include, 4 daughters, Mary (Rick) Baldwin of Kettering, Ohio; Julie Sanders, of Toledo, Ohio; Janine (Scott) Rogerson of Sylvania, Ohio; and Diana (Bob) Trick of Springboro, Ohio; 5 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Gordon Sanders of Warren, Ohio; and Edward Sanders of Erie, Michigan; and 2 sisters, Phyllis Walters, of Bellevue, Ohio; and Janet Stephens of Burton, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents and 1 daughter, Lia Sanders.
Mr. Sanders retired as a Master Chief Petty Officer after 23 years of service to our nation in the United States Navy. He also retired after working 10 years for Columbia LNG Company. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin.
Rev. James Steinle will celebrate the funeral Mass. There will be no visitation. He will be buried at sea by the U.S. Navy.
