Charles C. Carp, 83, of Tiffin, died at 4:40 pm Sunday, November 8, 2015, at St. Francis Home.

He was born July 25, 1932, in Tiffin, to Charles C. and Catherine (Bentz) Carp.  He married Lanarda Studer October 3, 1953, in Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in N. Auburn, and she died January 15, 2012.

Survivors include a son, Henry M. Carp of Gibsonburg; a daughter, Marie (Joseph) Gubernath of Bucyrus; and three grandchildren, Ed, Anne, and Dan Gubernath.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a brother, Donald Carp, and a sister, Louise Kreis.

Mr. Carp attended Calvert High School, and retired from Atlas Crankshaft, Fostoria.  He also worked at Sterling and Tiffin Glass House.  He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and he was an avid card player.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio  44883 (419)447-3113, with a wake service at 1:30 p.m.

Prayers will be said at 9:30 am Thursday, Nov. 12, at the funeral home, followed by the funeral Mass at 10 am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating.  The Rosary will be recited in church 20 minutes prior to Mass.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Church, or Calvert Catholic Schools.
